„Pláň plná prastarých náhrobků se táhla daleko za obzor a bál jsem se hádat, kde až končí. Jedinou výhodou této oblasti Nakažených plání byl fakt, že se sem nic neodvážilo vstoupit. Možná za to mohly olbřímí oltáře Ourobora po celém jejím obvodu tvořící takřka spojitou nekonečnou stěnu, ale to jsem nemohl vědět jistě. Necítil jsem se tu však bezpečně. Někde hluboko pod povrchem svého podvědomí jsem dobře věděl, že ti, jimž statisíce hrobů patřily, už dávno mrtví nejsou. Musel jsem co nejrychleji pryč.“
