“Z oblaku spór Nákazy na obloze se pomalu snášel podivný útvar. Čím víc se přibližovat, tím větší úzkost mi svírala hrdlo. Úponky živé sněti se zmítaly na zemi, jak se snažily uniknout z blízkosti toho tvora. Bylo to ale marné – byly rakovinou země, nemohly se od ní odpoutat. Členité nohy bytosti pokryté vrstvou podivných trnů se zabořily do země a ta se chvěla v palčivé křeči. Stál jsem jako přimrazený, neschopný jediného pohybu, s pohledem upřeným do čtveřice prázdných očních důlků jeho dvou hlav. Tvor si mě zamyšleně prohlížel a já byl přesvědčen, že tohle bude můj definitivní konec. Když ale groteskní bytost z Nakažených nebes promluvila, její slova můj dojem pouze utvrdila: ‘NEBOJ SE!’ ”

“A strange formation slowly descended from the cloud of Sickness spores in the sky. The closer it got, the more anxiety gripped my throat. The tendrils of living rot writhed on the ground, trying to escape from the creature's vicinity. But it was futile—they were the cancer of the earth, unable to break free from it. The creature's jointed legs, covered with a layer of strange thorns, dug into the ground, which trembled in a burning spasm. I stood frozen, unable to move, staring into the four empty eye sockets of its two heads. The creature looked at me thoughtfully, and I was convinced that this would be my definitive end. But when the grotesque figure from the Sick heavens spoke, its words only confirmed my impression: ‘BE NOT AFRAID!’”
